The current day L.A. Sportsman Club was formed in October, 1987 from a group know as the "Lynnville Two Wheelers".  There were 10 members present at that first meeting although the Two Wheelers had many more members.  The L.A. Sportsman club currently has over 65 members on the roster.

The by-laws of the club states the purpose as: "To promote courtesy and safety at all sporting events."

The club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the club house on Doerner Road Northwest of Lynnville.  We have made considerable effort to improve the facilities in the past few years and continue to do so.

The club primary means of income is to sponsor shooting matches in the spring and fall of each year.

We held gun safety programs in 2004, click here for pictures.  We hosted another in 2005, 2006, 2007 and will host another in 2008, check back for details.

The L.A. Sportsman Club won First place in the Theme Category in the 2005 Lynnville Holiday Parade. The float design featured Goose Hunters with several members and their kids or grandkids riding and distributing candy to the parade watchers.  See 2004 Float here.  See 2003 float hereSee 2002 float here.

The club holds it's annual "Sportsman of the Year Games" during September of each year for members and spouses.

The L.A. Sportsman Club donates money each year to various local worthwhile events.
