Tecumseh Arrows Community Service Scholarship: This
annual $500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior at Tecumseh High
School who has demonstrated a commitment to the community through involvement in
community service activities in and out of the high school setting.
Main Street Beautification Project: This ongoing project has included
purchasing Christmas and Fourth of July banners for Lynnville's Main Street and
partnering with local merchants and residents to purchase decorative flower
pots. The Arrows have plans to purchase additional banners and are exploring
other ways to make Main Street an attractive and inviting part of town.

Community Easter Egg Hunt:
Partnering with the local churches and the LA
Sportsman Club, the Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held the Saturday before
Easter. The afternoon event is packed with egg hunts, games, treats and of
course the story of the Easter holiday. Many community groups come together to
make this a great day for the children of the Lynnville community and
surrounding area.
7th Grade Picnic: Yellowbanks is the site
for this August picnic designed to introduce students from Elberfeld and
Lynnville who will makeup the 7th grade class at Tecumseh Jr. High. This
years picnic will be held in early August. If you are new to the community or
know of someone who is and have a student entering the 7th grade,
contact us to get details.
Halloween Party: The
community children’s party is always scheduled for the Saturday before
Halloween. Geared for children under 13, the party offers
games, prizes, inflatables, and tours of the local fire truck. Many church
groups and community organizations setup delicious food booths, which also
provide a fundraising opportunity for their group. Kids are
encouraged to come in costume and enjoy a safe and fun afternoon.
Holiday Parade: The entire community turns
out for our biggest annual event. Scheduled on the Sunday before Thanksgiving,
participants take great pride in their floats and observers always enjoy the
entries numbering as many as 60. For parade entry information contact Tia Huff
at 922-5036.
Holiday Party:
This is held at the Lynnville Community Center immediately following the Holiday
Parade, the party’s success is due to the involvement of the entire community.
Originally coordinated by the Arrows, the Lynnville Fire Department has
graciously taken over the event. Local churches provide desserts and drinks, the
Masonic Lodge provides vegetable soup and the Volunteer Fire Department makes
the chili. After the meal, the parade awards are announced
and distributed. It’s a great day to visit with friends and officially open
the holiday season.
Group Home Christmas Party: This Christmas party is the oldest event for
the Arrows and one of our favorites. Residents of the Lynnville Group Home are
treated to food, Christmas carols, a craft project and a visit from Santa. The
day is a wonderful reminder of the very special people at the Group Home that
make Lynnville their home.
Angel Tree: Ornaments that represent a needy child in our community can
be picked up at local merchants. Lynnville United Methodist Church wraps gifts,
and the Arrows distribute them to the very appreciative children. With the
support from the community, this project helps make the Holiday Season a little
brighter for many deserving children.
Other projects that the Arrows have coordinated include the construction
of the Championship Basketball Court (located at the Lynnville Community
Center), construction of the playground at the Lynnville Community Center, and
improvements made to Summer League Field.
